Rs 26 lakh ex-gratia, 2 compassionate appointments approved for militancy-hit families
Srinagar, Mar 18 : Jammu and Kashmir government has approved two compassionate appointments and sanctioned Rs 26 lakh ex-gratia for militancy-hit families in south Kashmir district of Kulgam, an official spokesman said on Sunday.
He said District Magistrate Kulgam Talat Parvaiz Rohella chaired the District Level Screening cum Co-ordination Committee (DLSCC) meeting at Kulgam yesterday.

Six cases regarding cash in lieu of compassionate appointment were cleared in which cash of Rs 24 lakh was recommended, besides two cases were approved for compassionate appointments under SRO-43 in the meeting.
Two death cases in respect of ex-gratia were taken-up and Rs one lakh was sanctioned, besides non-involvement certificates from police were sought by District Magistrate within a specified time-frame regarding the other case.
