ED detains Jmu petrol pump owner

JAMMU: The Enforcement Directorate on Friday has detained a petrol pump owner believed to be involved in money laundering, from Nanak Nagar area in district Jammu.
A team from New Delhi based ED office today conducted raid at the residence of one Charanjeet Singh in Nanak Nagar area and after seizing records took him with them for further questioning. Singh owns a petrol pump at Canal Road.
Official sources said that the raid which was conducted at 11 am remained in force for two hours. Money laundering is stated to be the reason behind the ED’s move, said official sources.
