Suspected militant arrested with pistol in south Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 16 : Security forces arrested a suspected militant and recovered a pistol from his possession in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, official sources said on Friday.

Acting on a tip-off, the security forces arrested suspected militant and recovered some arms and ammunition, including a pistol, from his possession.

Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter today, Director General of Police (DGP) S P Vaid lauded security forces for good work. 'One more boy with pistol arrested in Kulgam, good work @ Kulgam Police,' he posted on the site.

Three suspected militants, residents of south Kashmir, were arrested and a large quantity of arms and ammunition besides cash were recovered in central Kashmir's Budgam district on Thursday afternoon.
