Two Gujarat residents arrested after ruckus with sex workers, one claims DSP of Ahmedabad

Kolkata, Mar 15 : The city police has arrested two residents of Gujarat, one claimed to be the DSP of Ahmedabad, after the duo was allegedly involved in a ruckus when the hotel, in which they had checked in, denied entry to two women, said to be the prostitutes, by the management, investigators said today.The arrest of Alok S Roy and Dipak K Daryani all mid 40s, was made from the hotel at Beckbagan last night after the two women lodged a complaint with the Beniapukur police station in central Kolkata.

The two women, said to be the residents of Sonagachi in north Kolkata, alleged that they were denied payments and taxi fare by the two after being hired for personal entertainment.The ruckus happened last night when the two got the two women into the hotel, some hours after they checked in. But the hotel management denied permission to enter the women into their room.Both Roy and Daryani threatened the hotel manager with dire consequences and the former had flashed his identity card of DSP, Ahmedabad, of Civil Defence department.The hotel management immediately called the local police station for intervention. But the duo also threatened to the policemen saying they had connection with high ups in Gujarat and Delhi.Police finally arrested and took them to the police station.Kolkata Police also emailed to Ahmedabad probing the credential of the DSP.

The duo would be produced before the Sealdah court later today.
