Four gamblers arrested in central Kashmir

Srinagar, Mar 15 Jammu and Kashmir police arrested for gamblers and recovered stake money in the central Kashmir district of Badgam, a police spokesman said on Thursday afternoon.

He said acting on an input, Budgam police headed by Station House Officer (SHO) Khag Vilyat Hussain raided a gambling site at Khag near grid station.

Four gamblers who were identified as Akbar Ahmad Sheikh, Manzoor Ahmad Lone, Ayaz Ahmad Shah, residents of Khag and Abdul Rashid Sheikh resident of Hardu Sorish Khag were arrested on the spot. A stake money of Rs 2200 and playing cards were seized from the gambling spot.

A case FIR number 13/2018 under section 13 Gambling Act was registered and investigation was taken up.
