Omar hits out at J&K govt for deferring implementation of PAO system
Srinagar, Mar 14 : Upping the ante against Jammu and Kashmir government for deferring implementation of Pay and Accounts Office (PAO) System till March 2018, the former chief minister said for three years the state legislature was told that this reform would be a major step towards transparent use of funds.
Mr Abdullah, who is the working president of National Conference (NC), said a measure approved by legislative vote has been overturned by a mere government order.
“For 3 years the J&K legislature was told that this reform would be a major step towards transparent use of funds. A measure approved by legislative vote has been overturned by a mere government order,” Mr Abdullah wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.
Soon after taking the additional charge of finance ministry following removal of Dr Haseeb Drabu from the state cabinet over his comment on Kashmir issue, Altaf Bukhari on Tuesday ordered the deferment of PAO System till March 2018.
