Arun Jaitley files nominations for RS from UP

Lucknow, Mar 12 : Union Finance Minister Arun Jaitley on Monday filed his nomination papers for the biennial Rajya Sabha election from Uttar Pradesh.
Mr Jaitley filed three sets of nomination papers.
Accompanied by state Deputy Chief Ministers-- Keshav Prasad Maurya and Dinesh Sharma -- and state ministers-- Satish Mahana, Rampati Ram Shastri and others-- the Union Finance Minister filed the nomination papers.The remaining seven BJP candidates are likely to do so later in the day.
Mr Jaitley refused to speak to media after filing his papers. He had arrived in Lucknow last evening for the same.
He is likely to fly back to New Delhi Monday afternoon.
Monday is the last date for filing of the nominations for the RS biennial polls where 10 seats are at stake.
