Army lodged FIR in stone pelting on Sunjuwan Military Station, police identify suspects
Jammu, Feb 24: In the first incident of such kind in Jammu, Army has lodged an FIR with Jammu police in the incident of stone pelting on Sunjuwan Military Station on Friday.
The sources in Defence informed that an incident of stone pelting has been reported from Sunjuwan Military Station, which came under terrorist attack on February 10. They added that stone pelting by some civilians happened yesterday in Sunjuwan Military Station.
"The stone pelting was done on post No 12 which is adjacent to the area which was suspected entry point of the terrorists during recent attack," said sources and added, "Then Army lodged an FIR in the nearest police station and the police acted very promptly and handled the situation effectively."
The police also carried out further checks in the area from where the stone pelting was done.
"Even some suspects involved in the stone pelting were identified by police and presently police keeping vigil in the area," said a police officer.
