School teacher booked for molesting student in Thane

Thane, Feb 24 : A teacher of a private school has been booked on the charges of molesting a sixth standard student in this district of Maharashtra.
Police Sub-Inspector P D Jadhav of Manpada police station on Saturday said the accused, identified as Raghunath Harad, has been booked under sections 354 and 506 of the IPC and also sections 8 and 12 of the POCSO Act of 2012.
The complainant said that the accused, in the midst of the teaching lessons and pretending to check the notebooks, used to touch her inappropriately.
The teacher is also said to have warned the girl against revealing anything to anyone or lodging any complaint against him.
