BGSBU organises annual oath taking and lamp lighting ceremony for nursing students at Rajouri.

Rajouri, Feb 20 : The college of nursing, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University(BGSBU), Rajouri, organized the annual oath taking and lamp lighting ceremony of the second batch of nursing students here today.The objective was also to make the students understand the relevance of the course so as to help them carve a niche for themselves in the society after completion of their study at BGSBU.
Prof.Javed Musarrat, Vice Chancellor, BGSBU was the chief guest on the occasion.Prof. Iqbal Parvez, Registrar and Dean Academic Affairs, BGSBU along with all the Deans, HoDs, faculty and students of the college attended the programme.

Dr.Tity Xavier, Principal, college of nursing welcomed the students and led the nursing students in oath taking and lamp lighting. She congratulated the students on being selected for the prestigious course.Speaking on the occasion, Prof.Javed Musarrat congratulated the students and stated that nursing is the most blessed and noble profession.He said that it gives him immense pleasure to see the students from all parts of the state to this premier Institute of learning which is established in the name of a great Saint "Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah".He assured the students that the quality of education and training imparted at BGSBU is the best and they must have started realizing this by now.

He further said that all the faculty member of the college are highly qualified, experienced & energetic and always put in their best for the welfare of the students.Prof.Musarrat encouraged the nursing students to acquire higher professional knowledge and motivated the nursing faculty to upgrade their respective profile with advanced scope in nursing education. In the end he advised all the students to be responsible in all spheres of their career and extended his best wishes.
