Every village will be represented in Allahabad Kumbh: Minister

Lucknow, Feb 19 : Uttar Pradesh government has commenced efforts to draw highest number of pilgrims to Kumbh at Allahabad next year with even focusing on international tourists. There would be representation of every 6.5 lakhs villages in the Kumbh.

The tourist department in order to provide security to the domestic and international tourists have also recommended for setting up tourist police stations in four more places in the state.

On Sunday, chief minister Yogi Adityanath met External Affairs minister Sushma Swaraj to request the central government to make efforts to woo the international tourists at the Allahabad Kumbh, in January next year.
Disclosing the details, state tourism minister Rita Bahuguna Joshi said on Monday that the meeting between the UP CM and external affairs minister was very successful and the state government is hoping good number of international tourists during the Kumbh.

"Besides Yogi Adityanath expects at least 4-5 people from every village of the total 6.5 lakh villages in the country to attend the Kumbh," she said.

The minister said that the government has also introduced Bed and Breakfast scheme in the Kumbh mela for get easy accommodation for the pilgrims.

"We have already registered 1000 rooms so far in Allahabad and it will cross 10,000 rooms by the end of this year," she said.
