Timber smuggler arrested, timber worth lacs of rupees recovered
Srinagar, Feb 18: Police Station Bandipora received an information through reliable sources that one person namely Nazir Ahmad Dar son of Abdul Samad Dar resident of Aloosa Bandipora is involved in timber smuggling and has kept timber in his cowshed at Aloosa for illegal sale.
On receipt of this information, a police team raided the spot and recovered 04 logs of illicit timber from his cowshed. The accused person was arrested and the illegal timber was seized. A case FIR No 20/2018 under section 379 RPC, 6 Forest Act was registered in Police Station Bandipora and investigation was taken up
