3 killed in road accident in Pune

Pune, Feb 17 : Three people, including a woman, were killed in separate incidents in Warwand village at Pune-Solapur highway here on Saturday.

According to police, Sulabai Laxman Sutar (48) and her son Somnath Laxman Sutar (29) were on their way to attend a function at Warwand village from Pune on a motor-bike, when a truck en route to Solapur hit them killing the duo on the spot.

The truck then hit another two-wheeler killing a youth Lahuji Divekar (30).

A case has been registered against the truck driver, who reportedly fled the scene, they added.
