Mirwaiz greets Kashmiri Pandits on Hairath, appeals them to return home

Srinagar, Feb 13 : Greeting Kashmiri Pandit community on the occasion of Hairath (Mahashivratri), moderate Hurriyat Conference(HC) chairman Mirwaiz Maulvi Omar Farooq appealed to them to return to their homeland (Kashmir).

''On the occasion of Hairath, extend warm greetings to our Kashmiri pandith community. Hope that they return to their homeland and once again live among us as before,'' the Mirwaiz, who remained under house arrest, wrote on micro-blogging site twitter.

Hairath, the most important festival of the Kashmiri pandits, was on Tuesday celebrated throughout Kashmir valley. Muslims and members of other communities greeted their Kashmiri pandit brethren on the occasion.
