‘CM emotionally charged’

When asked about her meeting with the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti on Monday evening, the defence minister said Mufti expressed deep anguish and concern because she too had been to the military hospital and seen the injured recovering there.
"She was absolutely emotionally charged when she said women and children were attacked. I shared my grief with her also," she said.
Urged for comments on Mehbooba pitching for dialogue, Nirmala in a well-balanced reply said, "I won't tell you in detail about my meeting with CM. But here in J&K, the government has a different set of challenges. However, at the same time, we cannot forget that Army too is working under tough situation in this state."
Earlier in the meeting, the two leaders discussed the overall security scenario obtaining in the State particularly in the backdrop of continued shelling on the borders and the attack on Army camp at Sunjwan two days ago.
