14 year old Soham Kamotra becomes No.1 chess Player of state.
Young 14 years old Soham kamotra becomes Top FIDE Rated player of J&k State after his brilliant show in International Grandmaster events in Bhopal and New Delhi held recently.
His International Rating in the new list will be 2066 which is higher than all the players of J&K State.For this achievement at such a young age he was honoured by President of “All J&K Chess Association” Atul kumar gupta in the presence of Vice President Baldev Raj .
Atul Gupta congratulated him for great show in International level events and wished him good luck for future events and hoped that he continuous his hard work to bring name to J&K State at International scene in the future events.
He also had won second position in National Amateur chess championship at New delhi in november 2017 in below 2000 rating category .His trainer Mr.Vivek was also honoured for producing world class stuff in State as he also trained Commonwealth Gold Medalist Ms.Meenal Gupta for continuous 5 years to enable her to win the historic medal
