BSF jawan martyred, another injured, girl killed, 6 injured in Pak firing along IB in state.

Jammu, Jan 18 : A BSF jawan attained martyrdom while another sustained injuries and a civilian girl died as Pakistan shelled forward posts and villages along international border in R S Pura and Arnia belts here.

Pakistani Rangers started unprovoked heavy shelling on Wednesday night in R S Pura sector which continued till Thursday morning.

One BSF jawan attained martyrdom in R S Pura firing while a girl died in Arnia, said police sources.

The deceased girl was identified as Sabity,14, daughter of Sat Pal, resident of Dayala Chak (Kathua).

They said that the girl had been to her maternal uncle's house when got trapped in the firing at Village Pindi Charkan, sector Arnia.
