Jawan martyred, 2 injured in Pak shelling at RS Pura

JAMMU: In a late night strike, a BSF jawan on Wednesday night attained martyrdom, reportedly, as Pakistan yet again violated the truce by firing heavily and targeting forward BSF posts along the international border in R S Pura Sector, besides Arnia Sector.
Two villagers of Gharana have also received injuries in the unprovoked shelling by Pakistan.
Official sources informed that Pakistan Rangers opened unprovoked firing at forward posts of BSF, also targeting Indian villages with automatics and motrars in Sai,Trewa Nikowal in Arnia sector.
The Pak rangers also opened fire in RS Pura sector targeting Abdulian, Korotana
and Suchetgarh post in the area. "Pakistani Rangers late night opened unprovoked fire on forward BSF posts in R S Pura Sector," an official said, adding that at least 4 BSF posts came under heavy fire from the enemy nation.
As per reports that were confirmed with the official sources, one BSF jawan had suffered splinter injuries in the firing, who reportedly attained martyrdom later in the night.
An official said that they fired mortars, automatics, adding, "one BSF jawan got martyred in the firing."
"Our troops are giving befitting reply to the cross border firing," he said.
As per the last reports coming in, the exchange of firing was still on.
