PIA charges fixed at 8%, 8.5% for T&D works

JAMMU: In re-negotiation of Project Implementation Agency (PIA) charges of Power for transmission and distribution and RE works, the charges for power supply in Jammu and Kashmir have now been fixed at 8 percent for the transmission works and 8.5 percent for distribution networks.
This was decided in a meeting of PIA charges under IPDS, DDUGJY, RGGVY-II, PMDP and R-APDRP (Part-B) which was
chaired by Deputy Chief Minister Dr Nirmal Singh at Shram Shakti Bhawan in New Delhi.
The Minister for Finance Dr Haseeb A. Drabu also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, certain other issues pertaining to re-negotiation of PIA charges of Power for transmission and distribution and RE works were also discussed.
Union Power Secretary, Union Jt. Secretary Power, Commissioner/ Secretary PDD, Chairman Rural Electrification Corporation Ltd., Chairman and Managing Director PGCIL, Dev. Commissioner (Power) J&K, CEO -RECPDCL, CEO-RECTPCL attended the meeting.
