BMC regularises modifications in Bachchan's property

Mumbai, Jan 16 : The Mumbai Municipal corporation has regularised the alleged illegal modifications observed in the bungalow belonging to actor Amitabh Bachchan and six other bigwigs, an RTI query revealed here on Monday.
In a letter sent to RTI Activist Anil Galgali, the competent officer and Asst Engineer P South Ward has informed that, a notice under Section 53(1) of the MRTP Act was issued to actor Amitabh Bachchan and six others for illegal construction in their respective bungalows.
In response to the notice, Architect Shashank Kokil and Associates representing the residentssubmitted a fresh ammended plan on 5th January 2017 to the Executive Engineer (Building Proposal), Western Suburbs, P Ward.
The Execution Engineer acting on the application with ammended plans have regularised the violation as per the previous approved plans.
