105 cartons of foreign liquor recovered from Ambulance, two arrested

Muzaffarpur, Jan 13 : Police today recovered 105 cartons of foreign liquor from an Ambulance and arrested two people in this connection under Aahiyapur police station area in Muzaffarpur district.

Police said here that acting on a tip off, an Ambulance was intercepted near Garaha village on NH-57, leading to recovery of 105 cartons of foreign liquor from the vehicle. The driver and cleaner of the Ambulance were arrested soon after liquor was recovered, police informed.

"Those arrested were identified as Surendra and Pradeep, natives of Hissar district of Haryana," police said adding that liquor was brought from Haryana for sale in different parts of dry Bihar. The price of seized liquor was estimated to be Rs 10 lakhs, police stated.
