Searches continue to trace soldiers missing in snow near LoC

Srinagar, Dec 13: Search operations continued for the second day on Wednesday to rescue five soldiers, who went missing after heavy snowfall near Line of Control (LoC) in north Kashmir, where authorities have issued avalanche warning for next 24 hours.

A number of rescue teams are on the job to trace five soldiers who are missing after snow, a defence ministry spokesman Colonel Rajesh Kalia told UNI.

Meanwhile, in view of the heavy snowfall on upper reaches, the authorities have issued avalanche warning for border town of Gurez, where a porter died after falling from a mountain top recently
