‘Manorajan Mela’ inaugurated in Bari Brahmana

Jammu: Minister for Industries and Commerce Chander Prakash Ganga on Friday inaugurated ‘Manorajan Mela’ near Purmandal Morh Bridge in Bari Brahmana area.

Ganga also went round all the stalls installed by the local as well as outside state traders and appreciated the efforts of the organizers for providing an alternate recreation space to local people. He evinced his keen interest adding that such Melas prove beneficial for the people.

While interacting with traders, Ganga asked the unemployed youth of the State to avail optimum benefits of various employment generated schemes launched by the government for their socio-economic upliftment.

He called for a change in the mind set of the unemployed youth to become job providers instead of job seekers. “We have instructed officers to create massive awareness about different State and centrally sponsored schemes,” the Minister said.

Ganga exhorted that the Government has taken up many initiatives and schemes to promote small scale industries besides other businesses so that most of the educated youth can grab the job opportunities and it will help the Government in resolving the issue of unemployment.

He impressed upon officers present in the Mela to ensure that benefits of various development and welfare schemes reach the real beneficiaries timely.

He said that such Melas should be a regular feature to provide a platform to the entrepreneurs to sell their products and share their expertise as well with the first hand entrepreneurs.

Apart from the activities, the organizers have for the first time introduced ‘Ranger Jullah’, break dance, cutter piller, Slambo Joint Wheel, Nav Magic Show, Mickey Mouse and Boting train.
