Srinagar Dec7: The 434-km-long Srinagar-Leh highway has been closed due to fresh snowfall since late Wednesday night.

However, Srinagar-Jammu highway and historic Mughal road, connecting Shopian in south Kashmir with Rajouri and Poonch in Jammu region are through for traffic, a traffic police official was quoted as saying by a news agency.
A MeT spokesman has predicted moderate to heavy rains and snow across Jammu and Kashmir from Dec 11 to Dec 15.
He said that a Western Disturbance likely to hit the state from Dec 11 will hit the movement of traffic on the highways.
