Polytechnic student arrested for raping minor

Kangra, Nov 20: A Polytechnic student has been arrested on charges of kidnapping and raping a minor girl, Kangra Police said on Monday.
Sub Divisional Police officer in Kangra Sanjeev Chauhan told UNI that the victim girl was allegedly kidnapped by the youth as reported by her father in the local police station. He said that police launched a manhunt and recovered the her near Kangra railway station.
The accused, Amit Kumar was arrested under section 366, 367, 363, 506 IPC and and Protection of Children from Sexual offences (PACSO) Act for rape of minor and kidnapping. .
The accused was remanded to police custody and would be again produce tomorrow.
SDPO said that the police was further investigating the case.
