Lady inspector assaulted at Railway Station

JAMMU: In a strange set of events, a lady inspector, posted in Government Railway Police was assaulted at Jammu Railway Station, allegedly by a group of army men on late Saturday night.
“Anita Chopra, Inspector, posted with the GRP, was assaulted by army jawans at Railway Station after an argument over wrong parking of Army vehicle,” GRP officials told The News Now.
Chopra was rushed to the Gandhinagar hospital from where she was referred to the GMC hospital for advance treatment.

Reports said that the incident took place when Chopra objected to the wrong parking of a vehicle by army Jawans.

Her objection, reportedly, offended the jawans who assaulted her severly.

"She objected of the wrong parking by the army jawans following which they assaulted her with fists and blows", said GRP officials.

After the incident the accused fled from the spot leaving her in a pool of blood.

The GRP officers has shown strong resentment against the army jawans, who reportedly were under the influence of liquor.
