JMC Commissioner reviews working of Corporation, issues various directions

JAMMU: The Commissioner, Jammu Municipal Corporation, today took a review meeting of working of various wings of the Corporation.
The functions of each wing were reviewed with regard to the works assigned and impediments, if any and on spot directions were issued to the concerned officers heading the respective sections for better and efficient delivery along with redressal of public grievances.
While reviewing, he stressed upon to provide better sanitation facilities to the residents of the Jammu City and added that there is need to put in extra efforts by the concerned Officers to improve the sanitation scenario so that visibility of JMC can be seen by the people and also to achieve the goal of clean and green Jammu effectively and also to maintain proper hygienic condition in the City.
Commissioner, JMC directed Joint Commissioner (W) to personally monitor all the works being carried out under different schemes, especially the mega projects and flagship programmes and also directed to furnish the list of all the works.
The Divisional Town Planner was directed to prepare documents of all those permissions, where NOCs have been obtained and there is no deficiency, so that they are taken up on priority for clearance.
He was also asked to put up the issue regarding building permissions in terms of new Master Plan for earlier designed colonies.
He further directed the concerned Section Heads to put in extra efforts to ensure that all the ongoing works/projects are completed well before the timelines fixed.
Among others present in the meeting were Rajesh Sharma, KAS, Joint Commissioner (Adm); Neeraj Gupta, KAS, Chief Accounts Officer; Ranjit Singh, KAS, Secretary; Vinakshi Koul, KAS, Asstt. Commissioner(Rev.); Kushal Chand, Joint Commissioner (W), Jeet Lal, Deputy Director (Planning), Dr. Anita Salgotra, Health Officer, Rajesh Gupta, Chief Enforcement Officer and other Section officers.
