‘J&K Future Talks’ series to be launched on Oct 27

JAMMU: To encourage the spirit of entrepreneurship among students of Jammu region, a special initiative called “Jammu & Kashmir Future Talks” under the leadership of Minister of State for Education & Culture, Priya Sethi and in collaboration with Vice Chancellors of Central University of Jammu, Jammu University, Cluster University of Jammu, Baba Ghulam Shah Badshah University is going to be launched on 27 October, 2017 in Jammu.
Talking to media persons here today, Shakun Sethi, Founder, Dizuna Communications Private Limited, who is one of the coordinators of the event, informed that in this series, the first interaction will be organized in the Central University of Jammu, wherein she herself will be arranging and coordinating the entire initiative. Besides, for the phase one, she will be identifying and coordinating with the stakeholders.
Sethi further informed that to initiate the first phase, Japan Vyas from Sixth Sense, a Venture Capitalist and an Angel Investor will be interacting with the students from all the Universities of Jammu on the theme “How a Venture Capitalist thinks”. The event will be hosted at TAB Sainik Colony, CUJ from noon to 2:30 pm.
The J&K Future Talks falls under the national PM-Yuva Yojana and lies on the same note and coincides with the current thrust on the startups culture and how to promote the entrepreneurship in the State of J&K.
Dr. Pankaj Mehta Coordinator, University Innovation Cell, Central University of Jammu; Prof. Dipankar Sengupta Dean Students’ Placement, Jammu University; Suneet Gupta, OSD to VC Cluster University and Dr. Sameer Raina, Training & Placement Officer, BGBSU, were present in the media conference.
