The Youth Parliament discussed and debated different aspects of Article 370 and 35A. Amullaya Gupta played the Role of Dr Jatinder Singh, Hon’ble MOS at PMO and Member of Parliament from Udhampur constituency of Jammu and Kashmir. In the role of a minister and as MP from J&K Amulya Gupta impressed and convinced the audience and received a huge role of applause on his various statements on Article 35 A. For this the college honoured him with "High Commendation" Award for his research and impressive arguments on Article 370 and 35 A. While keeping his stand on Article 370 and Article 35A, he said " The basic problem with Article 370 is disinformation in Jammu and Kashmir and Lack of information in rest of India”. He further added that there are some popular myths on Article 370. He also cleared the fact that 35A as the permanent provision of Indian constitution is also a myth. He informed the youth parliament that the text of Article 370 starts with - a Temporary provision with respect to the state of Jammu and Kashmir and thus it was added as a temporary provision.

Speaking against Article 35A he said that this article violates the basic doctrine structure of Indian constitution. He added that 35A violates a bunch of article of Indian constitution. Article 16( rights to employment in government), Article 19( right to property ). He also questioned the constitutional positions of Article 35A. He said that it was added to a presidential order which is a violation of Article 368 of Indian constitution. He added Clause 1 of the Article 370 of the constitution of India does not empower the president of India to perform a function of Parliament but only to bring modification law passed by Parliament for the state of Jammu and Kashmir. Such strong arguments based on facts and figures enables Amullaya to win the debate but in the long run, he has set an example for the younger generation to follow.
