Transfers of 3 DySPs, 6 CPOs in SVO approved

JAMMU: The Chief Secretary-led committee on Sunday approved the files concerning transfers and postings of three Deputy Superintendents of Police and six Chief Prosecution Officers in State Vigilance Organization.
Official sources that the four members committee including the Director Vigilance, GAD Commissioner Secretary and one representative from Home Department and which was headed by Chief Secretary approved these transfers and postings in the all-important State Vigilance Organization.
The proposal in this connection was mooted by the organization.
The file was later dispatched to the Chief Minister chamber for the approval.
Sources said that the three DySPs whose names have been approved for posting in State Vigilance Organization (SVO) include Abdul Wahid Giri, Ravail Choudhary and Gurmeet Singh.
The trio will replace Zulfkar Shaheen, Kartar Singh Kotwal and Girdari Lal whose tenure in the Vigilance Organization has been over.
Sources further said that besides police officers, the Chief Secretary-led committee also approved the names of six Chief Prosecuting Officers (CPOs) in Vigilance Organization.
"The file containing transfer and postings has been sent to the Chief Minister chamber and once approved, the same will be sent to the General Administration Department (GAD) for official order," a senior officer in Chief Minister's Secretariat informed the News Now.
