Theft of records at RTO Office Jammu

JAMMU: In a bizarre incident, a gang of thieves struck at Office of the Regional Transport Officer (RTO), Jammu, decamping with some official records. Police have registered a case in this regard.
Police sources said that a complaint in this connection was lodged by the RTO Deep Raj Sharma.
“Accordingly a case under FIR No 233 u/s 380 RPC has been registered at Trikuta Nagar Police Station,” confirmed a senior police officer.
“The police, acting on the complaint, rushed to the spot and found that the miscreants have stolen files containing official records.” “During investigation it was found that the accused persons have broken the CCTV cameras installed in the premises of the RTO office,” the official said
Suspecting a foul play from insider, the police official said, “I don’t think it is the handiwork of outsiders as the way the only some record has been stolen it speaks smoothing foul.”
He said that the investigation in this connection is in progress.
