New Delhi: India’s economy is growing more than twice as fast as the rest of the world but the employment is still a major issue in the country. However, ending the dearth of jobs, the railways has floored a golden opportunity for the 12th passed youths of the country. The North-Eastern Railways has invited applications for several posts which include nurse, clerk, stenographer, assistant loco pilot, ticket examiner, goods guard, junior engineer and others. Railways is looking for suitable candidates to fill a total of 307 vacancies, according to reports by Amar Ujala and Punjab Kesari. A candidate can apply according to the eligibility criteria of the post.
The educational qualification for most of the post is 12th passed or diploma in concerned area or graduation. The minimum age of the candidate should be 18 while he/she should not be above 42 years of age. Coming to the most lucrative part, the maximum salary will go up to Rs 36,000 for some posts. The candidates will be selected on the basis of tests which will be conducted in various stages. Interested candidates may apply at www.nwr.indianrailways.gov.in. It must also be noted that no applications will be entertained after October 12.
At Present 19 Railway Recruitment Boards (RRB) are functioning in the country which conducts competitive examinations every year for several posts. RRBs calls eligible Indian Citizens for recruitment of various Technical, Non-Technical and Para Medical Posts in Group A, B, C and D Cadres through online and offline application format.
