Firing along along IB, LoC resumes, one civilian injured

JAMMU: Pakistan violated ceasefire yet again along International Border (IB) and Line of Control (LoC) on late Friday evening in Arnia Sector and Poonch sector of Jammu region of state by resorting to heavy shelling and firing from automatics. Reports said own troops are retaliating effectively and strongly to firing from Pakistan.
"Pakistan today once again violated ceasefire at 9:20 pm by targeting forward Indian positions and civilians areas in Treva and Pindi villages, official sources said , adding, "the Pak staring shelling and fire from automatics to target Indian side." Sources further said that the BSF is retaliating effectively and strongly.
Reports also said that Pakistan also violated ceasefire along Line of Control (LoC) in Poonch sector in which one civilian reportedly has been injured.
Meanwhile official sources here said that due to frequent border firing and shelling many border dwellers have already moved to safer places till late evening.
Pakistani troops had earlier violated ceasefire on the international border in the Jammu district consecutively for four days. However on Tuesday and Wednesday, the border had remained peaceful. Earlier on Monday, Pakistan Rangers had resorted to heavy shelling across the border in Jammu and Kashmir for the fourth consecutive day, police said.
