MLA booked after high velocity public drama

JAMMU: The MLA R.S Pura Gagan Bhagat was booked in assault case on the complaint of his sister in law here in Gandhi Nagar Police Station , today.
Reports said that the incident took place during evening hours when MLA's wife namely Monica Bhagat and his sister in law namely Nitika Bhagat saw him enjoying ice cream with a girl in an ice cream parlour situated opposite Government Degree College for Women at Gandhi Nagar.
Police said that the duo was passing from the ice cream parlour when they incidentally saw him. They entered into the ice cream parlour and engaged into the verbal brat with him. The bitter argument later spilled out in open which was being witnessed by people gathered there.
Eyewitness said that while the incident was taking place, one Punjab based passerby started videographing, however, his mobile set was snatched by the PSOs of MLA.
The man rushed to the Gandhi Nagar Police Station to lodge a complaint against the PSOs. He was followed by duo sisters and later MLA too reached at the Police Station, thus started verbal brat with each other.
It was after the intervention of political leaders and senior police officers, the matter was sorted out. However, MLA's sister in law lodged complaint of assault against him.
Based on his complaint, police lodged a case under section 323,506 RPC against MLA. "Though, she lodged complaint against MLA, but she refused to go under medical treatment", said a senior police officer, based on anonymity.
Meanwhile, The News Now, made several attempts on phone to have comments from MLA R.S Pura Gagan Bhagat in this connection but he didn't respond.
