Dera violence: Honeypreet tops list of 43 wanted by Haryana police

Shimla: Dera chief's adopted daughter Honeypreet tops the list of 43 wanted people released by the Haryana police today.

The police has released the list of Dera Sirsa activists and followers who are wanted for the violence erupted after the conviction of Gurmit Ram Rahim on August 25. The public have been appealed to inform the police if any of the accused is noticed.

After the release of photos of 43 wanted people, who incited violence in Panchkula on August 25, the Panchkula police made the first arrest out of these 43 dera followers.
In the list of 43 wanted people, names of Honeypreet, dera chief’s adopted daughter, and Aditya Insan, dera’s spokesperson, also figured.
The Panchkula police arrested Parkash, alias Vicky (46), brother-in-law of Aditya Insan, who is also wanted for inciting violence and faces sedition charges. He was arrested from Mohali.
On the day of the violence, Vicky was wearing orange-colour turban and the police had put his name on number 3 in the list of the 43 wanted people.
He was issuing directions to the mob on the mobile phone. When the Panchkula Police arrested him, he was not wearing any kind of turban.
A senior Police official said they had put the list of these 43 people on the Haryana police website. They know only the names of Honeypreet and Aditya Insan. They have begun the hunt for other 41 people on the basis of their photos, which were collected through different videos and photographs.
