Veterinary faculty, Police officers’ deputation meet Chief Minister

SRINAGAR, AUGUST 16: A deputation of members of Faculty of Veterinary Sciences of SKUAST-K met the Chief Minister, Mehbooba Mufti here today.
The deputation apprised the Chief Minister about the level of veterinary sciences education in Kashmir and the research activities carried at the campus. They suggested measures for livestock development in the State. They also sought upgradation of academic and research activities in their field so that the faculty can contribute more intensely for the development of livestock in Kashmir Valley.
The Chief welcomed the suggestions put forth by the deputation saying that these would be examined for putting to proper execution.
Another deputation of the officers of State Police Service also met Mehbooba Mufti and thanked her for the historic decision of giving them due share in promotion avenues in their organisation. They informed her that this gesture has infused in them a new vigour to work for the welfare of the State.
The Chief Minister asked the Police officers to work with renewed zeal and ensure that convenience to the common masses is ensured at their level.
Director General of Police, Dr. S. P. Vaid and other senior Police officers were also present on the occasion.
