Jammu Police holds debate contest on Human Rights

To sensitize the Police personnel of Jammu district on Human Rights, a district level debate competition was held at DPL Jammu on the topic “Respect for Human Right is an obligation of every citizen in the society”.

The debate competition was conducted under the supervision of Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, in which a large number of participants including Police Prosecutors from Saddar Courts Jammu, Police officers and officials from all Sub-Divisions participated.
A huge gathering of Police officials of District Police Line Jammu which included Dy SP DAR, Inspectors, SIs, ASIs and others were present on the occasion .

The penal of jury members included Ramesh Kotwal SP Headquarters Jammu, Prashant Mahajan Chief Prosecuting Officer, DPO Jammu and Ashish Rathore Chief Prosecuting Officer Saddar Courts Jammu whereas the coordinator of the debate competition was Rajesh Gill Chief Prosecuting Officer NHRC DPO Jammu.
Dr. Sunil Gupta, SSP Jammu, was the chief guest, who distributed trophies to the First, Second and Third Prize winners.

SSP Jammu while speaking on the occasion highlighted the importance of Human Rights. He said that J&K Police is committed to secure the lives and properties of the people of the State and also to restore peace in the society.
He also congratulated all the participants for their exemplary performance in the debate competition.

The winners of the debate competition included Inspector Anil Raina of DPL Jammu who was declared First while Prosecuting Officers Amir Beig and Ankush Sharma of Saddar Courts Jammu were declared as Second and Third. Proceedings were conducted by Rajesh Gill, Chief Prosecuting Officer.
