Arrangements reviewed for Budda Amarnath Yatra

RAJOURI, JULY 27: In view of the Budda Amarnath Yatra, commencing on 29th of July, 2017, Deputy Commissioner, Dr. Shahid Iqbal Choudhary along with senior officials of civil administration and police today visited the transit camp located at Yatra ground near Dudha Dhari Mandir and took a detailed review of arrangements being put in place for the yatries.
ADC Mumtaz Ali, ADDC A.S. Chib, SSP Yougal Manhas, ACR Abdul Qayoom Mir, ASP Rajouri, ASP Nowshera, Executive Engineers of PHE and PDD besides other concerned district officers accompanied the DDC.
On the occasion, the Deputy Commissioner reviewed the security arrangements in and around the base camp, sanitation, electricity and drinking water facilities, Medicare and availability of ration for the pilgrims.
The Executive Officer Municipality was directed to depute a team of 8-10 safai karacharis on all the days of yatra so as to ensure cleanliness in the base camp. The chief Medical Officer was asked to ensure proper healthcare facilities for the yatris.
The representatives of Baba Budha Amarnath Yatra committee, present on the occasion, expressed satisfaction over the arrangements put in place for the pilgrims by the district administration.
The DC impressed upon the concerned officers to put in concerted and coordinated efforts for successful conduct of the Yatra.
Arrangements have also been put in place for reception of Yatra and halt of yatris at Sunderbani and arrangements have also been made for accommodation of 1000 yatris at Sunderbani.
