DDC Rajouri visits SDM, Tehsildar offices, inspects infrastructure

RAJOURI, JULY 27: District Development Commissioner, Dr Shahid Iqbal Choudhary, today inspected the offices of Sub-Divisional Magistrate and Tehsildar Thannamandi to review the requirement of office accommodation for various offices.
The DDC accompanied by SDM Afzal Mirza, Tehsildar Shahid Iqbal, BMO Dr Iqbal Malik and Thannamandi based tehsil officers visited the SDM office functioning at a rented accommodation and Tehsil office building, which houses revenue offices, record room and other department offices.
Pertinently, the public of Thannamandi had earlier demanded construction of SDM, Tehsildar and SDPO offices as except for Tehsil office other offices were functioning from private buildings.
Public Works Department and Rural Engineering Works wing of Rural Development Department have been directed for formulation of DPR for construction of SDM and SDPO offices in Revenue Complex besides renovation and up-gradation of Tehsil offices. It was decided that a conference hall will be constructed on second floor of Tehsil office which will serve purpose for official meetings and public interactions.
DDC directed the officers for early formulation of DPR for timely construction of buildings in current financial year.
Meanwhile, a number of deputations met the DDC and raised their demands and problems.
Responding to public demand, it was decided that Aadhar enrolment centre will be opened at Plangar for convenience of public and additional machines will be allotted for Thannamandi centre from first week of August.
Later, in a meeting, Tehsildar, BDO and ZEO were directed for time-bound completion of schools taken up under Project Tameer which are aimed at providing 100 buildings for schools.
