J&K CM’s Grievance Cell disposes off 796 complaints

The Grievance Cell of Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister has disposed off 796 complaints in various departments, an official here today said. He said that a meeting was convened here yesterday under the chairmanship of Deputy Secretary, CM Secretariat, Inam-ul-Haq Siddiqui to review the status of redressal of grievances registered with the Chief Minister’s Grievance Cell. The meeting was convened on the directions of Coordinator CM’s Grievance Cell Tassaduq Mufti, he said, adding, ‘’the department has disposed off 796 complaints and the remaining complaints have been forwarded to the concerned officers for speedy disposal.

The Nodal Officer of PWD (R&B) said that only 20 complaints are pending with the department which would be redressed soon. Meanwhile, the Nodal Officer of Tourism Department informed that all the complaints received by the department have been disposed off whereas out of 90 complaints received from Government Medical College, Jammu, seven complaints are remaining for disposal. The Nodal Officers were directed to regularly update the status of complaints on the portal of Online Public Grievance Monitoring System. The Deputy Secretary further directed them to strictly adhere to the Standing Operating Procedures (SOPs) as laid down while disposing off the complaints.
