JAMMU: Even as the Chief Minister has asked the administrative secretaries and other top bureaucrats to make frequent field visits but she has advised to the district level officers not to make large entourage of the Ministers.
While reviewing development works of Jammu region on Monday, the Chief Minister advised the officers at district level to attend public grievances by spending adequate time in their offices. The issue was raised by Congress MLC Thakur Balbir Singh who said that officers in Kathua district and its subdivisions and tehsils are barely available for attending public grievances in their offices as they are often found travelling with the Ministers. The MLC made an apparent dig at Deputy Chief Minister and Forest Minister who belong to Kathua district. On this, the Chief Minister advised the officers to devote adequate time in their offices so as to be able to attend the grievances of visiting public.
