First Haj flight departs from UP to Mecca

The first flight with Haj pilgrims from Lucknow departed today after Uttar Pradesh Minority Welfare and Haj Minister Laxmi Narain and his deputy Mohsin Raza flagged off the bus to the airport from the Haj House. Around 300 Haj pilgrims boarded the first flight which took off from the Choudhury Charan Singh international airport at around 1200 hrs today. Mr Narain wishing the pilgrims for their safe and comfortable journey, asked them to pray for the well being of the people of the country and nation's prosperity.

Mr Raza said the Yogi Adityanth government has given better facilities to the Haj pilgrims in comparison to previous one with adopting its policy of ' Saabka Saath, Saabka Vikas". He added that now ACs have been installed at the Haj house here so that the pilgrims can stay comfortably. People who are helping the Haj pilgrims would be awarded by the government. While the departure of Haj pilgrims from Lucknow has started but it will commence from Varanasi tomorrow.
