DC Ramban convenes grievances redress camp at Neel Batoo

RAMBAN, JULY 23: District Development Commissioner, Tariq Hussain Ganie convened a public grievance redressal camp at Neel Batoo of Tehsil Banihal and took stock of the demands of the people.
A large number people from the remotest hamlets like Drupta, Batoo, Harwari, Bordhar, Gagarnag, Louru, Chidoos, Senigam, Hala Parihinder, Jaridi, Surranga, Ladnihar, Tatika, Dhak, Kharwa, Runegam, Zanchiose, Gangna, Chaknarwa, Batdhar etc were present in the camp.
The major issues raised by the locals were blacktopping of road from Chamwalbas to Neelbhatoo and inclusion of some of the inaccessible areas with tehsil Banihal which are at present with Tehsil Ukhral.
Other issues put forth in the camp included separate power feeder for Neel, more PMAY houses for deserving people of area, upgradation of existing roads, water and power supply to uncovered areas, old age pensions to the needy, separate ambulance for Neel, adequate medical staff and model village for ST population.
While responding to the demands projected by the people the DDC assured them that issue of upgradation of Chamwalbas-Neel road would be taken up on priority. He instructed Xen PMGSY to expedite the progress on ongoing roads in the areas.
The DDC instructed the officers to initiate door to door campaign for spreading awareness about various welfare schemes of the Government.
DDC urged the people to extend support in strengthening the developmental initiatives of the administration.
