UP BJP MLA passes away

BJP MLA from Sikendra in Kanpur Dehat, Mathura Prasad Pal died following a prolonged illness here today. He was around 70. Pal's family members said that he was suffering from cancer and was on his way to Medanta Hospital in Gurgaon, when he died near Mathura.

On July 17, Mr Pal had cast his vote in the Presidential polls and came to the UP Assembly on wheel chair. His body would be kept in his native village Maidupur-Barhapur in Kanpur Dehat and also at Gita Nagar in Kanpur city for public to pay their last respects. The cremation would be held later in the day. Meanwhile, Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and UP BJP president Keshav Prasad Maurya have condoled Pal's demise.
