3 washed away as Sumo plunges into Chenab, 3 ors injured

Doda: At least three persons are feared died when a vehicle they were travelling in skidded off the road and fell into mighty river Chenab near Garsoo, Pul Doda today.
All the three persons, onboard the ill-fated Tata Sumo, bearing registration number JK06 5074 were washed away in the river Chenab. The vehicle was on its way to Doda from Charalla side, a police official informed.
A rescue operation has been launched by Doda Police to trace out the bodies.
Police identified two of the deceased as Inshtaq Ahmed son of Manzoor Ahmed of Badharra, Chiralla and Ravi Kumar son of Roshan Lal who are supposed to be onboard the vehicle.
The identity of the third person is not established as yet while the search operation was on when the last report poured in. Meanwhile, in another accident in district Kishtwar, three passengers sustained injuries.
Police informed that a Tempo met with an accident at Dondi Morh, Garh Padder in which the vehicle (JK17 1080) plunged into river Chenab. The injured have been identified as Ajay Kumar son of Gian Chand of Bhandera, Kuntwara, Vishal Kumar son of Sham Lal of Soul, Padder and Mulkh Raj son of Somi Raj of Gualbgarh, Padder.
