Reviews functioning of Revenue Department

SRINAGAR, JULY 21: To give major flip to the Revenue department, Minister for Revenue, Relief, Rehabilitation and Reconstruction, Abdul Rehman Veeri today stressed on infrastructure build up of Revenue assets across state.
The Minister was speaking at a high level review meeting of Revenue Department here. The meeting was attended by Financial Commissioner Revenue Lokesh Jha, Commissioner Secretary Revenue Muhammad Ashraf Mir, JKPCC MD Daleep Thusoo and other senior officers of Revenue Department.
Mr Veeri said that the aim of the infrastructural buildup of Revenue Department is aimed to provide all solutions of Revenue related matters at one place to the public.
Asking the officers to make available online status of various infrastructural assets of the department, the Minister said by doing would get the requisite information about undertaking their augmentation.
The meeting discussed the infrastructural status of Revenue Department across J&K and asked the officials to expedite the setting up of assets.
The Revenue offices which were discussed include Awantipura Tehsil office, Tehsil office Sunoor Nubra Leh, Tehsil office Arnas, Tehsil Office Reasi, Goal Ramban tehsil complex, Revenue Complex Bemina, Revenue Complex Ramban, Compund walling of Revenue Training Institute Jammu. The Minister also sought detailed report the progress of construction of SDM office Bijbhehra, Patwara Khana Dalama Handwara, Revenue Complex R.S Pura, Construction of Naibat office Rajpora and others.
The Minister impressed on the officers to set up to formulate the Detailed Project Report(DPR) of all proposed Revenue establishments at the earliest and get it vetted within ten days.
To equip the Revenue offices with latest gadgets, The Minister directed the officers to issue tenders and speed up procurement of necessary equipments for speeding the work of revenue related matters.
The Minister also asked the officers to deploy required manpower at Revenue offices so that succor is provided to the public.
