Deputy CM asks for excellent arrangements for safe, smooth departure of Haj Pilgrims

Telangana Deputy Chief Minister (Revenue) Mohammed Mahmood Ali has instructed the officials that excellent arrangements should be made for safe and smooth departure of the Haj pilgrims from Hyderabad embarkation point. The Deputy Chief Minister, who reviewed the arrangements here yesterday, said that Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao desired that no stone be left unturned for providing comfort and convenience to the Haj pilgrims, when they leave for the most sacred journey of their lifetime.

Mr Mahmood Ali requested Saudi Airlines authorities to ensure that no Haj flight is delayed and all the amenities be provided to the pilgrims. He said that this year over 7,000 pilgrims belonging to Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Karnataka would fly from Hyderabad to Jeddah. He lauded the cooperation of Telangana State Waqf Board, GMR, Customs, Immigration, CISF, BCAS, Saudi Arabian Airlines, IPM, Princess Esra Hospital, GHMC, Fire Services, RTC, PWD, Police and Traffic Police departments for their impressive performance and said that because of their cooperation the Telangana got the pride of place in the country.

He hoped that arrangements would be more better this year. He also said that the Haj Camp 2017 would commence from August 11 at Haj House, Nampally, here and Haj Pilgrims would start proceeding to Haj from August 13 and last flight would fly on August 22, each flight would carry 450 pilgrims. Minority Welfare Advisor A K Khan asked the GMR to provide X-Ray machines at the Haj House and instructed the TS TRANSCO officials to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Haj Camp.
