Two arrested for murdering Dy SP, another identified, DGP

Srinagar, Jun 23: The Jammu and Kashmir police have arrested two people and identified another allegedly involved in the murder of the Deputy Superintendent of Police in the downtown.

Director General of Police (DGP) Dr S P Vaid said that two persons involved in the murder of police officer Mohammad Ayub Pandit have been arrested and the third has been identified. He said the accused will have to face the law.

Meanwhile, in a tweet, the DGP said ''2 involved in beating to death Martyr DySP Mohammed Ayub Pandit arrested, third has been identified. All involved will face law spvaid.'' Pandit was beaten to death by a mob outside the historic Jamia Masjid in the downtown city, late last night.
