Hanuman idol desecrated in Trikuta Naagar
Jammu: Communal tension rise in Jammu as angry crowd started protesting against disrespect of Hanuman temple at Trikuta Nagar extension and blocked the roads on Thursday morning.
Sources said that conflict arise in the morning when a few devotees saw the idol of hanuman broken into pieces in a small temple located in Trikuta Nagar area of Jammu. The culprits were supposed to broke out the glass of the idol. The news spread within few moments in Jammu and Bajrang Dal activists reached on the spot and demanding strict action against the culprits. Slogans of jai Shree Ram were reverberated outside the temple.
Bajrang Dal President, Rajesh Gupta said that Every year before Amaranth Yatra, some members from different groups perform anti-religious act and create conflict like situation in Jammu and Kashmir.
Meanwhile police has also reached at the spot and start investigation against the act. Police did not give any comment about the act and there is no evidence on the spot. There were two idols in the temple.
Inspector Vikas Gupta said that if the motive of the culprits to arise a conflict situation or to hurt the sentiments of particular community, they broke out both the idols but they did not do this. And the area is not under CCTV surveillance also.
