Amarnath yatra: 3:30 pm is cut off time to cross Jawahar tunnel

Srinagar: In order to ensure safe and secure movement of yatri vehicles, 3.30 pm has been decided as cut off time to cross the Jawahar Tunnel, a police statement said on Wednesday.

“This decision has been taken in consultation with civil administration and all the security agencies connected with the yatra,” police statement said.

“No yatra vehicle shall be permitted to cross the tunnel after the cut-off time. Yatris are requested to adhere the advisory strictly and cooperate with the traffic police and security agencies,” the police advisory to yatris concluded.

Pertinently, annual amaranth yatra is scheduled to start on June 29.
